Partnership for Drug-Free Kids

we are a non-profit organization committed to helping families struggling with their son’s or daughter’s substance use. We empower families with information, support and guidance to get the help their loved one needs and deserves. And we advocate for greater understanding and more effective programs to treat the disease of addiction. Parents who have discovered their son’s or daughter’s drug use will speak of its accompanying torrent of emotions: guilt, fear and often shame. It’s a gut punch. Panic-stricken, many don’t know where to turn or what to do. We are here for those families, offering a lifeline with answers, community and solutions to help them and their loved one. We are a compassionate champion for families seeking guidance in dealing with their loved one’s substance use.

We empower families with knowledge and support that can lead to early and effective action, and to the help their son or daughter needs and deserves. Buoyed by the passion of mothers and fathers who have “been there” and struggled with a loved one’s substance use disorder, our parent volunteer community advocates beside them and for them to affect positive change in our society’s attitudes and responses to the disease of addiction.
